SBR Cast Manifold, anyone else?

For anyone wondering how it fits, here it is on my motor with the 20G installed .. I ended up with a SS oil feed line though, the stock feed line as shown didn't fit right and was taken off after that picture was taken. The rest of the lines to and from the turbo fit okay.

I used a die grinder to port match the manifold to head, using the 2 layer steel gasket from SBR as a pattern. The manifold is a perfect upgrade.

Do you have to replace the headstud to bolt on the SBR manifold? Because the flange is thickker than stock.

After some minor grinding on the corner mines mounted. My only question now is my heat shield wont fit so what do I do about the O2 Sensor ? Wont it melt if its touching the manifold?

Thanks I routed the o2 sensor out front and all is well, I just started it up and she's smoking from the manifold/turbo area like a raped ape. LOL Once all the oil crap from my hands (now on the manifold) burns off I'll take it for a drive.

is this manifold have the exact same dimensions as the stock 1g manifolds..... i am looking to get one but i don't want to have to fabricated another flange..... i just want to be able to take the old one off and bolt the new one on, thanks :thumb: :dsm: :thumb:

Its bigger than the stocker buts fits the same. The collector/opening its friggen humongous, so you would prolly only have to enlarge the opening on your plate to mate wit to your turbo, however why dont you just go with a T3 style manifold to match your turbo?

i plan on ordering one next week but i have a GVR4...

think itll hit the fan and ill have to upgrade to a slim fan or should it clear it ?

ive got a PTE GT32E turbo...

Would this thing fit a t25 I don't have the money quite yet for a Evo16G so I'm just wondering. If it would or wouldn't fit what would have have to do it get it to fit.

well i got my turbo on last night with my crappy leaky 1g manifold... i dont have alot of clearance at all to the radiator... how much longer is the SBR before i go and order it and its to long and dont fit ?

could somebody give me an exact measurement compared to a 1g manifold

I think you put too many gaskets on, LOL

Things may be different for the galant but it's a true bolt on for the 1g and 2g eclipse.

I got mine a while ago I had to grind the driver side corner in order for it to fit but it was an easy install its a freaking awesome manifold :thumb: I also ordered a 4 layer gasket and all the studs :thumb: nice job SBR :rocks:

Umm, you could port the t25 inlet. But I don't think you would be able to tell the difference by porting it.

I have to port where the turbo and manifold bolt up though right?

You should. as the outlet on the Manifold will be waaaay bigger then the inlet on the T-25 which will cause alot of turbulence. The outlet is actually a bit bigger then the 7cm gasket I have.

Don't mean to hijakc this post but can i still get some more uummpphh out of the T-25 if I port and polish the inlet and outlet along with the wastegate? (sorry don't wanna make a useless post when i can get an answer here)

personally I wouldnt even bother. for the time/money todo that just get a good condition 14b and it will be a much larger improvment then the t25 could ever reach.

Well i don't really have the money( car insurance due and prom to pay for) so I'm kinda insistant on keeping the T-2small longer until I have enough for an EVO16 with the works done to it. I'll consider a 14b if I can get one for like $100 bucks, would I just have to get a J-pipe or would I need more thna just this to use a 14b.
