Should knows I'm trying to find info on if you can use a 90 ecu in 91+ and 91+ in 90..I think you have to swap some pins, but as it turns out..I can never find anything I'm looking for..
 
Knows you can swap ECUs as long as you switch a couple pins. If I wasn't away from home, I could find it for you.

Should know I have a few, but there is a 90 ecu in my talon..And I need to know how to hook up one form 91+ in it..Cause it's running on two cilinders..I narrowed it down to coil pack or ecu..
 
Should tell Bud that to use a '90 ECU in a '91-94 or vice versa, you have to switch pins 6 & 14.

If you were putting a '91-94 ECU into a '90, it sounds like there might be more needed to be done to make the tach work, but I don't think your doing that. This thread is somewhat helpful.

And I've attached the ECU pinouts for a 1g diagram.

Should find out which two cylinders aren't running. That really helps determine if its a coil or not, as most of the time, if one of the two coils go, it would be the 1&4 or 2&3 cylinder pairs not working.
 
Should know I havn't been trying to get the car running..My buddy is, he's going to get it running and buy it..The car was a town away untill saturday..Now I can help get it running..And I was never told which two it was running on..
 
Is going to get it running. You probably already know this but the easiest way to check what coils are working and injectors is to pull plugs while it's running and see if things change.
 
Should know I just talked to my buddy apparently now it's not getting spark on any cylinder..Which still leads me to beleive the whole coil pack is shot or now he did something that cause the ecu to mess up..

But If I feel like It I could swap in a known good coil pack off my cay, and also switch pin 6 and 14 and see if my ecu will start the car..I just gotta get around to it..But I don't want to take my coil pack off..
 
Should know that would be a good idea to try your coil pack and ECU, its not hard to do, and its not like your car has been running much lately. :p
 
Should know he just came over with the ecu..He didn't see any damage..So I pulled out a flashlight and my trained eye noticed some damage..

So what were gonna do is try my ecu first and see if it wants to start..If it starts he's gonna get a new ecu..If it doesn't start, were gonna put my coilpack on and ecu and that should make it start..

So were just gonna get together later this week and do it..
 
Will for sure get this car running.
 
Should know its been a long road to get it to this point..Alot of new parts, head, redo timing, injectors, rail + more..

I have one of the old snapped valves on my coffee table...
