Alright. Awhile back I had two turbo's blow on me one right after the other. One has 0 shaft play whatsoever and the compressor wheel is in perfect shape. Not a ding on it. The problem when it blew was that the exhaust turbine blew completely off.

However, the second turbo is the complete opposite. The compressor wheel is junked, but the exhaust turbine is pristine. Is it possible to take the two turbo's apart (both are 14b's) and salvage them as one?

You most likely have all the parts you need there. You WILL need to have it balanced afterwards if you want it to last very long.

I figured it would need balanced. It didn't smack the housing at all, but I still planned on having it balanced. Anyone know of any local shops that can balance a turbo? Or anyone in the Ohio area?

Thanks,
Ty
