So I got my new v3 and ecu and I have a quick question!

Can I drive on the ecmlink 2g factory tune that comes on the chip until I can set it up correctly myself?

I will of course swap The ignition wires and invert cas to start but thats all I want to do till I get some time in a few weeks to go through and set everything up to my upgrades and make sure everything is within spec like the wiki 101 says to do

Thanks bobby

Oh and if I can drive on it will it do any damage or cause an issue at all?

Stock tune meaning you have your injectors, base fuel pressure, idle, tps offset setup?

I would say if those are setup then you could drive it. However I would not go into boost at all. Who knows what yoir a/f ratio is and when youll get knock etc.
If you must drive just drive it smooth dont be going into boost dont be reving high just be in the slow lane.

If you dont have the basics setup then no I would not drive it.

The injectors and base fuel pressure are set up as I asked when I told them what I have, tps offset I can do as thats easily done. I need to hook up my lc-1 to my ecu to log the afr but atm its normal on my other ecu in that car at present! So 9.5 wot and 14.6 idle and cruise

Knock is something I will need to look at but on my logger I never see it pull timing,

I've been driving around with v3 on the stock setting for about 2 weeks, no gauges, no wideband, nothing....haven't had the funds currently to purchase previously said parts... Due to my upcoming wedding...

Car was stock and the first mod I always buy is ecmlink, but I wait to install it..... Well my factory ecu decided to shit the bed and I had no choice but to install ecmlink, car runs just as it did before I installed it but I am running a bit on the rich side (they run rich from the factory)

But ecmlink for 1gs assume your using 450s with a 37 psi fuel pressure regulator and not 390s with a 43psi fpr like I'm currently running... Due to being auto.... But the difference is minor bc they are within 5% of fuel flow

Thats good to know, I only want to run it on the stock tune for a bit, but im not going to risk it if it is that bad to do that so I might aswell wait a few weeks
