I have a 1g 7 bolt motor in my car. Well its time to tear it apart and re ring or piston it. The block already has a 30 over bore. Should I bore it out 40 over or is it time for a new block? I want to run high boost this time around 30 psi or more. Any experience is greatly appriciated. :thumb:

check it first, there is no reason to bore it if it does'nt have to be done. If it has to be bored out then sure, no reason you can't go to .040. After that though you will have to get a new block next time, unless you want to sleeve it or try to find (have made) bigger pistons, since currently most piston company's only offer a .040 as a max overbore.
