Sup guys i just got a GSX eclipse not too long ago... it is clean as #### only 71,560 miles on it... but anyway i think it was already tuned but the battery was disconnected and i believe it lost all the settings because its not logging anything anymore... whenever i pull up the monitor its just a flatline.... this is my first turbo car and i have no idea how to tune... i've read some thing on it... but it all looks like japanese to me.... could someone help me understand what everything is like KARMEN CORRECTION and all these other terms are... maybe then i'll understand what they're talking about.... anyway here is my list of mods so you know what i'm working with... i'll post pics soon....

evo 3 big 16 g turbo
550cc injectors
190lfp fuel pump
272/264 cams
rods&bearings
injen intake
3" diameter downpip
3" high flow cat converter
full cat back exhaust
greddy BOV
and i'm currently set at about 20psi as far as boost goes

I think thats about all you need to give advice with tuning.... anyway any input will be greatly appreciated i'll post the pics up tonight when i get home from work.

im about to be going through the same thing with same set up, so someone help this guy out so i can noisy along also!

ok i think i'm starting to grasp everything...i've been reading like crazy on how the S-AFC works.... basically ## tuning to find a medium... you don't want to run too rich or too lean.... when i'm ideling my autometer jumps back and forth between lean and rich and then when the car starts to warm up... i tends to sit more rich and when free rev up to cruise rpm i sit at rich.... so on my low throttle should i go about -5% because going negative on the low throttle table i assume means that you're leaning it out??? Also when i redline i'm still rich.... so on the high throttle table i should go negative values as well??? i'm never really running lean... it'll dip in to lean briefly but for the most part i'm in the stoich to rich range on the autometer. Please help guys i think i have a basic understanding but any input from some tuning vets will be greatly appreciated....check my profile for a more in depth mod list. Thanks guys in advance! DSM FTW!!!!!!!!

From what I gathered you said your A/F gauge is an Autometer. This is more than likely a narrow band O2 hooked up to it by the why you described the bouncing around of the reading. Do not try to tune based on that gauges readings. You need a wide band Like AEM or similar to base your tune on. Aside from that do more reading before you go setting things. The SAFC 2 has a backup that SHOULD hold the settings even when the battery gets disconnected. So unless it was initialized all settings should be as they were. Other than that the links that 918 posted are good as well as the SAFC tuning guide in the tech section. Happy tuning.
