Alright guyz and gals I just got my Safc for my 93 TSI AUTO, my current mods are a 2g manni ported, EVO-III 16g turbo, 2.5" downpipe and catback, hacked air box w/ k&n filter, ngk plugs bpr7 and accel wires. I am currently not running the car full bore because I am having major boost creep (I am doing the 34mm mod this week and going to port the hell out of my o2 housing and cut the divider out) but I also have a set of 450cc injectors right now to put in, I only plan on running the car aroung 15psi w 93 octane gas, what should my settings be and any other info or advise would be great. also I want to know if there is a way to reset the safc when I connect it up I got it second hand.

Umm, you might want to get a better fuel pump, re-wire it, and get some injectors before you think about turning the boost up that high with that turbo. All you have to do to reset an s-afc is zero out all the settings and it's basically like it's not even there. You might want to keep the boost turned all the way down to begin with and tune around that if you even can. That EVO III 16g is pushing a lot more air.

Slice - Not sure if you know or not, but 1g auto's came with the 13b and 390cc injectors, instead of the 1g 5-speed combo of 14b and 450 injectors. Just FYI.

DCVING - Like slice said, I don't see a fuel pump listed in your mods. You will definitely need one if you are going with a bigger turbo like the evo 16g. So before you start running much psi (15 or so), I would get a fuel pump in there.

Also the 450 injectors are just a small upgrade from your 390cc injectors. You would be much better off with some 550 at least. So think about getting those. Also, you really need some type of tuning device to help you tune the bigger injectors and the safc. I would recommend a 1g OBDI pocketlogger. You're lucky since 1g's can see knock count (us 2g guys can't), and knock count will let you tune WOT/high safc settings. And then you use the pocketlogger/ecu fuel trims to tune the cruise/low safc settings.

You really aren't going to find someone to say, "Oh your safc settings should be x". The best way is to get a logger and set them yourself.

And sorry to say but that doesn't look like an Evo 3...

If you look at the flnages on the Evo 3 they are as small as possible and expand out where the bolt holes are(to save weight)

You can see the difference in the flange is that Pic...

I do have the fuel pump re-wire mod done and I also have a 255 pump on the way, also a MBC is installed and I am putting the cams from a 1g-5spd in soon also. I dont think I will need any more fuel than the 450cc inj, right now at part throttle running 15psi of boost w/390cc inj. I have no fuel cut and car runs great pulls like a mo-fo when I power brake the car to lauch the boost goes up to like 27psi and no fuel cut initially but then wow holy smokes bat-man I have to back out like yesterday. About the turbo any other people feel this is not the EVO III 16g let me know because when I purchased it I was told this is what I was getting. Alos I am not looking for the exact #'s on the SAFC but a range that mabey most of the AUTO cars run with these mods, just to give me a base line. Thanks for the replies.

I would start at -15% and go from there. It will probably still be rich but thats better than being lean. You DO NOT have enough injector. You need at least a 550 with that boost level. I would recomend 650cc injectors personally. My 550's are almost maxxed out now with just the b16g, not the evo III.

Do you have something to log with? I have a really hard time believing it's running great at 15psi with 390cc injectors on there. I guess I could be wrong, but whatever.

Yes I do have a logger the tmo on my lap top I have some recordings and you can see where the car starts pulling mad timing also I do have phantom knock when just driving around town at light throttle but when I put engine restore in I am all set. I will try do up-load a graph of my car at part throttle and 15psi so you can see where I am at.
