safc II install but no tune question

I just got a new turbo, intercooler, injectors, and safc II in the mail. i was planning on putting in the safc II first, and my question is this: can i install it and keep it at a zero-setting of some sort so as not to tune it yet, or when i turn it on is it going to already have tuned it a little? I have no experience with the safc so if it sounds like i don't know what i'm talking about, please don't make fun (at least too bad). cuz i was planning on putting this dam thing in just to get it out of the way so i can worry about my turbo and intercooler. thanks

Yes, as long as you leave it at 0 it will be like it isn't even there.

If you keep it zeroed out, it will not make any corrections, so your car will function as it did without the controller. What I did (because I have friends that like to play with stuff in my car) is I connected all the necessary wires except for the Airflow Correction wire until I was ready to have it tuned. That way, I had it all hooked up, but my car performed like stock and if anyone tried to play with it, it wouldn't affect my car.

Agree'd. A helpful SAFC tip that will definately come in handy is when you disconnect or change your battery to make sure and unplug the SAFC connector. It can take out your SAFC that way. It happened to me and i found out the hard way

is the air/flow correction wire the yellow wire?
