I'm half way there, just need to order a Speedohealer and Autometer Tach Adapter plus wire it all up.

I won't have this done this the spring because I'm working on the car but I will have the wiring diagram done in another couple of days.

Connected the high beam light to the wrong wire and didn't plug in my turn signal relay so the signals only worked with the hazard button but it turns on and everything else works. The plug for the gas gauge, speedo, temp and tach is not connected.

interesting.... post a new vid when its all hook up....

Gonna be waiting a while, my car is stripped and parked for the winter now.

That is really cool.
When your done is everything going to work?
Like the odometer and the cel and everything?
Good job though, looks pretty complicated.

Yes, everything will work. I only have the Modifry Engine Coolant Temp Converter (still need the Speedohealer V4 and Autometer Tachometer Adapter) so I didn't bother to connect the plug that has those features on it (this includes the gas gauge).
Odometer works based off the Speedo so once that is hooked up it will work, CEL is already connected. Only thing I need to address wiring wise is the high beam light (I connected it to the wrong spot), gas gauge and finish wiring the other adapters (once I get them) plus mount said adapters in the dash (either behind the cluster bezel or behind what use to be my passenger side air bag).

In all honesty it's not that hard, this is the 5th time I've done this swap in another car LOL. I've got some experience working with it.

I would loveeeee to see that wiring diagram when you are done. How do you plan on mounting it in the dash?

I should have the diagram done by Monday at the latest.
Mounting I'm not sure 100% on, I've got some ideas though. I need to find a spare cluster bezel to work on. The good thing is my dash is out of my car so I have lots of room to work on things LOL

Still working on this guys, I need to untangle the mess of wires at the connectors now. The joys of depinning connectors! I'll take some pictures of how to do it though.

I'm also going to try connecting the Tachometer without the converter and see what happens. I'm read that some people have connected to the ECU or dash wire for the Tachometer when installing an aftermarket Tachometer or shift light and it works so we'll see.

Got most of the wiring out of the way finally. I need to test the tachometer and see if it will work without an adapter.
Gonna be doing that this week when I head out to the car, not sure what day though.

I also had to grind down one of the female plugs on the cluster, the PO had made his own harness and messed things up a bit.

After some dremel action.

I also plant to look into the trunk open light, I'm pretty sure it needs to see a ground.

My passenger air bag is gone so I figured why not make use of the space, both of my secondary fuse boxes are mounted there, my 12V to 5V converter (mounted to the metal plate to be used as a heat sink) and my Modifry ECT module. I still need to get my Speedohealer and mount it here and I'd like to mount my engine bay fuse box in there too.

Looks awesome good luck with the rest of it, I know you've done this several times but you will always find something wrong with everyone you do LOL

Too true, I actually removed the dash memory pin and used it to lengthen another wire without noticing my mistake till much later ARG. Lucky I had saved some other pins and was able to use that one.

I just want to make the wiring all nice and pretty. I hate having wiring that looks like hell. I'm going to start wiring up the fuse boxes tomorrow and get the dash harness all labeled (I'd like to do thread with pictures and everything too).

No real updates, I've wired the ECT module but still need to order the Speedohealer and Tachometer Converter. Plus I want to order some braided loom to wrap some of the wiring in just so it looks better.

I likely will not have any updates until after Christmas.

Cool idea, but the S2000 cluster is so outdated looking and was never good to begin with. A swap from a newer car would be better, or all aftermarket gauges with custom surround.

Props on the work though. :thumb:

+1 on aftermarket gauges and custom surround, specially surround sound LOL

I don't know if I agree with the S2K cluster looking outdated. I know it's one of those "holy grail" mods for any EG hatch owner to swap for this cluster :p Looks good, I'm eagerly anticipating this being finished.

Agreed, i dont find it outdated at all. If anything the stock cluster is outdated. LOL

I would love to do this but with an Evo 8 cluster.
