I TOK IT FOR A SPIND AROUND THE BLOCK and now my boost is all wierd too.

Unless the settings were saved, your looking at needing a retune....

This happened to me when my battery died and reset all my dsmlink settings, SUCKED...

Find a shop that tunes, itll run you maybe a 100 bucks or so to get a complete retune.

Didnt you save your DSMLink fuelmaps? Seems like the start thing to do just in case something like that happens

Always SAVE... SAVE SAVE SAVE.... In the future if this happens, imagine loading the settings and

Where can you get a complete tune for $100.00, On a dyno? If there is somewhere in nepa for only $100, I would put in my 650's and be there after work?

Also, This is why you should write your settings down somewhere, This way if something like this happened, You go in your notebook.. Get the settings, And put them all back in.

Why would you shop tune if you already have dsmlink? Not trying to point anything out, this is more for for myself.

I mean, street tuning takes time, but is it worth $100 to pay someone else to do it quicker? Only thing i can think of that they may have is a wideband that you would want to use.

Hmmm... Because most kids cant tune their DSM like a pro shop can... thats why..

And yes SlowBoy is cheap as hell, even on the dyno.

I've never tuned yet, but I've got DSMLink and have read alot on the topic, it doesn't seem like rocket science, I guess it's just people with alot of money. Mainly watch for knock and that your not running too lean.

If you have never tuned before, It is not as easy as you think.

Maybe your right, I wouldn't know.

I'll be following this guide mainly http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91676 .

Now in the article he doesn't use a proper A/F reading, but other than that, what else is there to know/look out for?

It might not be a fine tune, but it seems like a good basis to start.

Tuning DSMlink is a tough task when you dont know your shit.

As long as you have enough fuel flowing you shoul be alright.

Knock is something YOU DONT want....

Point though:

Most of us cant afford to make mistakes when tuning, thats when shops come into play.
