Rusted wastegate

Took apart my eBay 16G to find my waste gate was rusted shut pretty badly to the point to where i have to help it open and close... I tried WD-40, and it loosened it up a little bit.. I wanted to use this hot side for my 14B.. Seems like the waste gates not letting me.. , Is there anything i can do to fix this?? Any help is appreciated.. Thanks

you might have to put some heat to it and just keep working it til the rust breaks down... pb blaster works well also... you could set it in oil...

Okay i'll take a torch to it and try heating it up, and i'll grab some PB blaster i just ran out.. and just setting it in oil would help it out?

I've been doing some reading, and found that giving it a bath in hydrochloric acid would break free of the rust.. what do you guys think i should do?

if you use the acid keep it away from the face bc of the fumes

actually your partially right, but its actually hydraulic oil, the oil breaks down and eats rust completely, soak it in there for a day or two and should be much cleaner.

Not to be sound like everyone else but youre better off trying to find a mhi turbine housing. The chinese tend to use cheap steel and iron. Just my 2 cents
