Runs, spools, no boost and bogging/sputtering!?!

OK. Here's the deal. Replaced plugs and wires with NGK bpr7s. Not a few miles down the road started fouling already so something is causing me to run Rich. Very strong gas/exhaust smell when its running and smells a little gassy in my oil cap. Check engine light is on for P0505 which is idle air malfunction so I'm going to replace the Idle Air Control Valve sensor thing. Hope that takes care of the CEL. Hopefully it helps my sputtering problem. I m at a loss honestly. Daily driver and around 2k rpms starts to bog and sputter. Cleaned plugs up, no good didn't help. Cleaned MAF. Didn't help. Don't know what else to check honestly. I know you're gonna say boost leak. That's the obvious place to look. Im thinking injectors, fuel pump, fpr something like that. BTW all stock except for front mount intercooler and synapse blow off valve. That's it. Any tips greatly appreciated. Please don't tell me to do any searching. Its 1 am and I'm outside trying to figure this out. Thanks!

I know you're gonna say boost leak.

does this mean you already did a blt?

Yes I did. Still have this issue. About to say hell with it and take it to a mechanic

If your bov is atmospheric dump then your loosing metered air. What's your gap set at?

How fast did the air leak down in the blt, and did you perform it correctly by hand turning the motor to close all the intake and exhaust valves?

Sorry, not trying to be argumentative with your results, but most of the time these issues are really a boost leak. Car spools up, half the air escapes, computer reads air before the leak and sees the turbo spooling twice as hard to hit 9 psi, dumps fuel, hits fuel cut and runs like garbage. I had the same issue, swore up and down it wasn't a boost leak.

.028 gap on the plugs. I'm gonna go through all the intercooler piping in a few here and make sure everything's tight. Any suggestions for recirculating my Bov? Just a big hose that connects to the intake behind the MAF?

I had a nasty stuttering problem with my car when I first got it. I went through all of the aforementioned steps and nothing fixed it.

Check your coil pack, that was the issue with mine. I swapped the packs out and it has ran great ever since.

Something is causing the plugs to foul. Its gotta be something wrong with air fuel. I was thinking fuel pump is on its way out the door. But if it was my car wouldn't start. I'll try the coil pack idea. I've hooked up my Bov so its recirculating now. Went through and double checked all intercooler piping and everything seems fine. Still have to fix the check engine light for the idle air control valve. Let you know how I make out.

Just ordered a fuel pressure regulator and a new IAC to take care of that check engine light. Picking them up and installing them Monday **another thing to add, oil smells a little gassy. When the cars running smells like pure gas fromcthe exhaust. Running rich obviously. Hoping the IAC takes care of it. Then I will be changing my oil and filter fully and new plugs. Then I hope it starts working again. If all this doesn't fix it she's off to the mechanic.

Just do it right." Everything is tight" is an assumption nothing is leaking.

I also had a similar issue. Turned out to be the Transistor.
