ok im running 255 fuel pump, 550 injectors evo big 16g turbo, and im running very very rich rough idle and smoke from to much fuel... if i buy an adjustable fuel pressure regulator will that help? i am currently running uncirculated so hose is capped and not going to my bov should i run it circulated being that i havent had it tuned yet and i dont have this afpr yet? thanks for your input

Unless you are running a blow thru GM MAFT, speed density, etc you should recirculate your blow off valve.

The reason you are running rich at idle is because the 255 is over running the stock FPR. Get an AFPR asap.

If your still using a oe mas air , you should keep the bov piped back into the system . pretty much its generally a bad idea to release the bov into the atmosphere unless you are running a gm maf in the blow through configuration .

also do u have an afc or any other tuning system ? 550's with no correction are always gonna run rich on idle with nothing to make corrections with . and afpr wont really help much , but most say u need one with a 255 as the pump will over run the stock regulator

I know it will help if u recirculate the bov. I bought a 1st gen fwd that had an aftermarket bov on it. It ran pig rich. I put on a used uip with a stock bov and ran great. U cant vent to atmosphere without something like a gm maf or map sensor conversion.

Good looking out! yea sounds like i need to get that puppy circulated asap and hopefully i can buy a afpr at autozone or advanced or something. i will get on this tomorrow , i just installed a manual boost controller and its still set at its default setting i disconnected the vacuum lines going to the factory boost solenoid but left the solenoid in place

I didn't see anthing to compensate for the larger injectors in your profile or mentioned in the thread so that will explain why your car is running rich:|
I would probably be safe to assume you have no type of logging device, either:hmm:
Put the stock injectors in until you have something to adjust for injectors(chip, safc, etc)
Yes you need to run recirculated as well with your current mas.
