Whenever I get up around 4000 rpm (can be felt from 3500 to 4500 but it's worst at 3800), the engine starts running really rough, and the whole car starts vibrating really bad. After I drive it for a couple minutes around that rpm range and then push in the clutch and either start coasting or braking, then engine will die. It starts back up just fine, it idles fine, and it runs smoothly at every other rpm. I already checked the spark and I'm getting a good spark on all four cylinders, and the plugs are gapped correctly. I've done a fuel pump rewire to try to fix the problem, no dice. Potentially related... I occasionally hear a click from the throttle body area right around idle. I'm thinking it's probably a bad injector.
- New fuel pump
- Fuel pump rewire
- New plug wires
- Just checked gap on plugs, .030"
- Not having any boost leaks
- No smoke
- No funny exhaust smells
- Car still seems to have plenty of power, maybe a minor power loss.
Car is a '92 eagle talon TSi, only mods are a boost gauge and FMIC.
