My SAFC II is zeroed out, and after less than 50 miles when I pull my plugs, they have large amounts of carbon deposits. When I hit WOT in at about 14psi, my car shudders as if the carbon is getting the best of my plugs and causing a misfire. Hitting 14psi at less than WOT allows me to not misfire. I would like to lean it out somehow. I have a Walbro 255lph fuel pump, a fuel pressure regulator, and stock injectors. I do not want to have it tuned on the dyno prior to new injectors and was just curious if I could safely lean it out a little with the SAFC II. Maybe with the fuel pressure regulator?

What is your base fuel pressure set at (i.e. with the vac line disconnected)? If it's > 43psi then should turn it back to 43.

Also check for leaks btw the Turbo and throttle body.

Yes I agreed, check the fuel pressure but that should only affect you during idle. The bulk of your shuddering problem at 14psi is more likely caused by a boost leak. Make sure you do a real boost leak test, not just a visual inspection.

If I get a dollar every time I cut and paste that link... :)

If you can get access to a datalogger you can safely pull some fuel out of the car. You should own one if you are going to be modding the car but if you don't have one yet ask around locally and see if you can borrow one.

Testing for boost leaks is also a very good idea.
