Hello all, i am interested in running meth injection on my nearly stock setup(t-25, mbc set at 14psi, intake, and boost gauge). Would it be fine to run it untuned at this psi?

Running meth untuned will provide no benefits. You need to tune to lean out your mixture and add timing to gain HP. Adding meth without tuning will just be washing down your piston tops and bogging due to a rich fuel mixture.

You will need something to control fuel and timing and a wideband at minimum.

I was thinking if the car saw colder IAT's due to the water/meth injection, wouldn't the ecu advance timing?

Meth Injection doesn't add power directly. It will reduce/eliminate knock and let you advance timing way higher compared to just pump gas. It greatly reduces IATs, Which in return let you run higher boost. I wouldn't use meth injection unless you have a wideband and a way to control timing, JACKAL/ecmlink etc. When i first installed a kit on my friends 2g. We tried to see how rich it would get without changing anything in the tune. It ran SOOO rich (wideband pegged 9.0) it was bucking when meth starts injecting. Before the meth is was tuned at 11.0 AFRS. We had to take a lot of fuel to where it was a nice balance with the meth final AFR around (12.0). So I would say on a stock car with no tuning options, You will just run rich and buck like crazy.

Our IAT sensor is located in the MAF so spraying meth right before the TB will never register lower temps with the ecu.

Ahhh, I had no idea. Well that completely changes things. Thanks for the replies guys

Just curious, what were you hoping to gain out of running meth?

Like i stated above, i thought the ecu would advance timing if it saw colder IAT's but since the sensor is in the maf, it would'nt work that way.
