I'm working on a buddies car and have been unable to find the issue.
Here is the setup.
97 TSI
-Evo III 16g
-FIC 1050s
-Wally 255
-SSAC FMIC
-V2
-Catch can
-1g CAS
-Tial 38mm
Has a hard time starting and runs lean, sputters and loses power around 4-5k.
I have checked/changed the following...
-Pulled fuel pump assembly and repaired(Found the white cap that sits above the pump oring was missing)
-Performed a BLT and repaired leaks(except throttle shaft seals)
-Replaced fuel filter(lots of gunk poured out when removed)
-Replaced plugs with Bpr7es gapped at .022
-Wired in a 1g cas
-Replaced ECU(Previous had leaks around C40)
-Replaced knock sensor(previous was goopy and leaking)
-Swapped Resistor pack
-Swapped coil pack
-Swapped TR unit
-Mechanical timing is dead on
-Swapped FPR
Everything I have found wrong has gradually helped the car to run and drive better but the primary issue is still there. Hard start unless I blip the throttle, running lean and breaking up and loss of power.
Any ideas or a direction to begin looking? I attached an idle log
