Hey you guys I got a problem and i need other opinions before I just start tearing it apart. so I got a 98 Gsx and when i turn to the right on the freeway even if its just a slight turn to the right I hear a rumbling noise like a wheel bearing and it feels like the noise is coming from the right front tire so I replaced the bearing but it is still doing it!!! I even replaced the lower control arm I believe the straight one.:ohdamn::notgood:

So I don't know what else it could be any thoughts?

Well first do a visual inspection and recheck everything, could be some loos strut bolts, and nuts. Even a bad axle, maybe you got a bad bearing.

I have checked every tire for play and still nothing is there any way I can tell if an axle is bad without taking it off?

I had an issue with my wheel bearing on the passenger side and replaced it. Afterward, there wasn't really a rumbling sound, but the vibration intensified greatly when I got over 70mph. Even after the wheel hub replacement. I found that 3 of my tires were unbalanced for some reason. I balanced the wheels and the vibration was gone. Just another possibility for you.

If the car is FWD, get the front wheels into the air and let it idle in gear. Make sure it is secure and have someone in the driver seat. Have then turn the wheel right and left from lock to lock and you will be able to hear where it is coming from and diagnose the axle.

It's a GSX, so AWD. Sounds dumb, but make sure your wheel nuts are torqued correctly equal all the way around. Sometimes it causes the wheel to shift slightly and make a sound when pulling in a certain direction. I'd quickly check it on all 4 wheels I do 90 ft-lbs in star pattern. Then you can pull the car back so the wheels do a 1/2 rotation and torque again. And beyond that as other mentioned , visual inspection of axles. I wouldn't think wheel bearing unless there's a consistent scraping sound that varies with speed.

Do the clock test on the culprit wheel, 12 and 6, 3 and 9, etc.

What's the clock test? Never heard of it.

Its were you grab the tire and check for play. Putting your hands on the tire just like on a clock.

I've had a bad strut mount make a rumble noise when I turn going down the road. Not sure if that what's going on with yours but its an idea.
