Ok, I just got my tranny back from jackstransmissions. Put it back in and took it to back to a mechanic who had recently done a timing belt job for me and gotten the balance shaft a bit out of time. He re timed it and this time got the cams one tooth out of time. Took it back to him, because it was loping pretty bad at idle and he fixed that issue. But now when I'm going straight or turning right at normal driving speeds, I can hear a grinding/vibrating much like a cell phone on a wooden table. But when there is a curve to the left, the noises disappear. These noises/vibes are best noticed when in 5th and around 40 mph

Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

hmmm, that may be an issue. It's a little weak. Correction on first post - This problem was noticeable after the tranny from Jack was installed.

Can anyone explain why it's only happening when I turn any to the right or going straight while pressing the accelerator either to maintain or increase speed? Granted while going straight it is a lot less noticeable.

Go over your installation of the transmission and double check everything. Is the dust cover hitting the back of the rotor? Axles tight? I would suspect the dust cover hitting the back of the brake rotor.

nah, I checked all that for clearance. I'm gonna check everything again.

also, I did notice that there is a big green knuckle looking thing right next to the differential of the driver-side axle. i can pull out on that, and it will move about and inch in and out. That's when I found this thread on 3si.org.

oh, and on a side note, when sitting still, the car has a certain roughness when bliping the throttle from idle. But when I jack the car up using the crossmember, that roughness goes away. People think I'm crazy, but it happens, LOL.
