Rubber sleeve for fuel pump...Needed?

Do I need the rubber sleeve as seen in the vfaq, or can I put my walbro on without it by zip tie it?

If I do need it where can I get one around town?

I had mine on but no i am gonna run without it, it should be fine.

I dont run it because I'm not sure if its alcohol safe and when I switch to e85 I dont want to have an issue. Anyways you wont have an issue not using it.

The rubber sleeve keeps it from vibrating and it makes less noise with the sleeve on.

You should use something better than a ziptie, like a worm clamp(hose clamp) or something not made of plastic.

I've seen both used, but usually zipties get hard and brittle from the gasoline.
