well i was trying to pull the intake off my head well last time i have it off i used RTV because i didn't have another gasket. Now i need the intake off? how can i get it off now ?

after you unbolt the manifold it should still come off with a little work. and if your having that hard of a time pull all the studs out and it should pop right off

pry one side at a time....never pry from the middle its pointless. You have more leverage from the sides. If you really want to, go get your hairdryer and warm up the manifold....it will make the consistency more gooey...

Did you make sure everything was unbolted. RTV alone isnt dificult to pull apart.

Cs4g63 is hit the nail on the head. RTV is a rubber/silicone sealant and by itself will not keep you from removing the manifold. Check and recheck to make sure you have everything unbolted.

Once removed you can use a putty knife or another dull flat edge to remove the remaining RTV.

Goodluck!

Haha holy shit it just occured to me...you forgot to unbolt the bracket on the back side of the manifold. It attaches it to the block to support the weight...
haha yep, that would be the problem.

The easiest way to unbolt that bracket is to slide under the car and get a extension. There are 2 bolts that attach it to the intake manifold. I believe the 2 bolts are a 14mm size socket if I remember correctly, if not; 12mm.

Its ok man dont sweat...i forgot on my g/f's CRX when I did her head gasket...thank god no one was out there watchin me about to whoop up on some CRX....I was irritated as all hell....

no everything is off bolt wise. i had it off put it back on using rtv and now it will not come out checked everything

Best thing I can think of is to lightly hit with something soft like your hand to try and loosen everything up. Or like JWoodley said. Use a putty knife or something like that to get in between the two surfaces to pry them apart.

I would check one more time for any bolts/nuts or brackets connected to it. It shouldn't take much force to get it off. If everything is disconnected, try hitting it with a rubber hammer a few times. Probably one of my least favorite jobs I've done on my car.
