I have been searching for hours and have found a few things to check for this.

First what happened was the clutch pedal would only work fropm the floor to about an inch away. After that it did nothing. Then one morning it just went to the floor and wouldn't come back up. Checked what I think is the Resevoir and it isa empty. So I must have a leak somewhere. What I need is 1. Suggestions and 2. Pics of where these components are and how to check them. Any help would be great guys. Thanks!

Justin

1. It's the master or the slave cylinder.
2. Pictures are located in any chiltons book,or manual cd.

Thanks for the links guys!

Unfortunately my car is too damn low to get under. So I can't check the slave. Any way to narrow it down so I don't pay a bundle for my local shop to troubleshoot? Also since my resevoir is empty could I fill it to just under the max line and drive it myself to the shop? I am guessing the only reason i get nothing now is because the fluid is gone. But I did drive it around for a week with this issue. Thanks

Whats that thing again...err umm oh yeah...Dropped suspension. No jack will fit under my car. We always have to get it on the lift. Unfortunately my buddies Supra has been on his lift all winter. It has to go to a shop :(

Couple of pieces of 2x4 blocks under the front tires, push the car onto it, You're good to go. :thumb:

OK so if that works do you think I could just fill the resevoir back to normal levels and pump the clutch to see if things are back to normal? Then drive it onto blocks?

Sure you can.

You can't just pump it. Your gonna need to bleed all the air out the line. they explian that procedure in the link i gave you also.

I think he meant just to get it on the block so he canget the jack under the car. He still has to replace what ever is leaking and bleed it.

Before you go to all of the trouble to check the slave cylinder, I would check the master cylinder. If it is leaking you will be able to check it from inside the car, under the steering column. There is a rubber boot that is at the end of the adjustment rod. It would be leaking where the boot goes onto the metal part of the cylinder. Its always best to check the easier stuff first.

Cool I will check that first. Thanks everyone!

Ok looks like it is the Master :(

Great that is going to be more money that I wanted to spend. Can anyone tell me what I can expect to spend for a shop to put one in? I am guessing most of the money will be in Labor as it is kind of a pain in the ass to get to. Thanks
