how do you guys suggest i get these ####ing bolts off.... i can NOT even budge them. i have no air tools and i dont really want to go buy any. im about to just leave it on and say screw it and just get a new clutch and pressure plate. there are cracks in the flywheel, but i have no other choice unless someone has a brilliant idea.

im still not seeing this. the whole thing turns including the bolts?

Your goal here is to use the face of one of the bolts to prevent the flywheel from turning. You're resting the wrench against another bolt. You use this as leverage while you use a breaker bar on the other bolts to turn them. I wish my engine was out of my car right now so I could take a picture of what I'm talking about - once you see what I'm talking about you'll smack your forehead for not thinking of it sooner.

Here's an illustration of what I'm talking about, as best I can. I'm certainly no Picasso. Basically, you're going to take a wrench (red) and latch the box end onto one bolt. You're going to then use a breaker bar on a bolt on the opposite side. Use another wrench (box end) turned 90 degrees onto the wrench on the flywheel to act as a breaker bar. It'll make sense if you stare at it for a second. Either the breaker bar nut will break loose first, or the wrench side will break loose. If the wrench side loosens first, it'll hit a bolt, which is what we want. Just shift positions of the wrench when you're ready to loosen those bolts.

Like others have said air tools such as an impact will work wonders, it is a must have if you plan on working on your dsm alot. That being said you could try getting a breaker bar in the crank bolt on the other side of the crank shaft and have a friend hold the crank still while you use the 17mm on another breaker bar. The crank bolt has a square inside the middle of it which a 1/2inch drive will fit into. Penetrating lubricant will also help a lot, I suggest you soak them for a few hours. Oh and get some leverage on that bar, it will make things much easier! Good luck!
