2G Road racing Sims...

Just curious what Sims everyone is using. As well as maybe this could be a thread for all things Sim related.

Currently my PC set up is:
-Logitech G920
-Sim is - Assetto Corsa.

With VIR, NJMP, Road Atlanta downloaded free from here:

I also have R Factor(R Factor 2 - also has it)
Because it's the only one with Carolina Motorsports Part (CMP) which is 16miles from my house.

Thought maybe is others have assetto.. we could host a multiplayer event/s for fun. I do work a lot, but would join in when I could.

Anyrate might be a fun way to pass the winter as well as get some practice in.

I run iRacing pretty much exclusively since 2011. It's more expensive than the other sims out there, but it's also the most realistic. Every track & car is laser scanned. Not just exterior, but individual suspension components are scanned and modeled as well. A lot of professional drivers use iRacing. It's not uncommon to find myself racing against Scott Speed, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Rubens Barrichello, etc.

I've built up decent setup as well.

PC: i7-8700K @ 5 GHz, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1080 Ti video card, six (6) monitors
Wheel: OpenSimWheel from simracingbay.com
Petals: ProtoSimTech PT1 petals
and I run SimVibe with four bass shakers

My brothers talking me into trying VR instead of doing the monitor set up.

VR seems to be the way of the future. Plus it's cheaper than buying three monitors.

If you can wait for it's release, the HTC Vive Pro looks to be a big advancement in VR technology.

Woke up today to my eldest daughter had our 4.....6 week old puppies in the computer room with her and they chewed my foot pedal till they broke a pedal and eat right threw the wiring.

I have a Corbeau seat on a good seat bracket with a Fanatec wheel setup on my xbox one. Currently using project cars 2 and forza 7. Forza is good, but still like a video game. Project Cars 2 is more realistic than Iracing in my experience, but the fit/finish of the game is worse.

I got my pedals fixed. Luckly the wires from the G27 work on mine. So I was able it order new wires from the UK.

Chris was in Chicago last week and was supposed to go to indiana this week.

But he said he normally doesn't take on shipping north this time of year.

So he couldn't give me a time when he'd be going that way again.
