I am going to buy an RnR 3" turbo back exhaust. They offer an 02 eliminator exhaust. I have owned my Talon for about a year but do not uderstand what an 02 eliminator is!! Where does the 02 sensor go if using the eliminator? What perforance gains does the elminator offer? It seems the downpipe bolts directly to the turbine housing without the 02 housng, is this correct?
I have heard that RnR has been slow with orders but they say they are slow business wise and are offering a sale. I have a 50 trim now and a 2.5" Buschur turbo back that I could sell to make up some of the additional cost.
Perhaps an 02 eliminator would be the way to go and then I could also sell my ported EVO 02 housing. i just don't understand how the eliminator works and whether an atmosphere dump is better than a recirculation one. I use a GM maf in a blow thru position. Can i get sme opinions on this? Thanks, Mark

o2 eliminator dp means the downpipe will include the o2 housing as part of it...regularly the o2 housing bolts onto the turbo...then a regular downpipe bolts onto the o2 housing...this downpipe includes the o2 housing as part of the pipe itself and eliminates the stock o2 housing...which supposidly means better performance...also on the side note...RnR is usually real backed up as far as getting your product out...so expect to wait about a month or more...

Reasons to go with the RNR 3" Turboback
Great Quality, Price, and Sound.....

If your 50trim is already internally gated gettin the external wastegate option wouldn't be a good idea.

For your 02 Sensor....The one that goes to your O2 sensor housing will be fine. Theres a bung for it. Your rear 02 Sensor is pretty much worthless with that exhaust unless you fabricate yourself a bung. Not a huge deal....

It will hook up just like your regular exhaust...

It's a nice exhuast

Shipping times from RnR are....well. Dont take off your current exhaust expecting to get your new one in a week.

Thanks guys. So the RnR downpie will have a bung for the 02 sensor? My 50 is internally gated so a recirculation eliminator would be best for me? Anyone now what muffler RnR uses? It looks like a Dynomax or magnaflow. Now if I go with the RnR I can also sell my ported EVO3 02 housing to help offset my loss!!
I live near Syracuse in central, New York so a month would not bother me as the car is hibernating, covered in my garage!! Apparently RnR farms out the job and does not keep any inventory. Great way to make a living with minmal investment huh? Mark

an "atmosphere dump" means your wastegate will release right under the hood/1 foot away from the turbo...when it recirculates it goes back into the exhaust system and comes out the muffler/back of the car...good thing about an "atmospghere dump" is it supposidly helps boost creep...bad thing about is that it will be loud as shiet...some people enjoy the sound some people dont...

you might want to try a VRS o2 eliminator pipe if you dont want to deal with RnR's horrible customer service...i think www.diamondstarmotorsport.com carries VRS...

If it's much louderthan a loud BOV I will go with the recirculate model, and it sounds like it's very loud, huh? mark

Venting your wastegate to atmosphere will be louder than your bov. Also, RnR uses a Bullet muffler. I personally don't like the huge tip, because I prefer dual tips, but it works well and sounds deep instead of tinny. The whole system was a very very tight fit but once I used my body weight a few times to maneuver hangers, it fits very tight and nice.
