Its funny how your 94 looks like our 91-92, I was also wondering, since were on the topic of jdm, if any evo 1-3 had a front limited slip that we could use in our tranny's?

If I remember right, people from Europe mentioned how all 1Gs had pop-up lights.

I like that GSR EVO logo. If I threw one on my car, what would the nickname be? Talevo? I guess that sounds better than eclevo. Maybe that's also why the Japanese just don't call the Lancer Evolutions "EVOs" like most Americans do, because the EVOLUTION was obviously used on more than just the lancer.

Thanks guys, im gonna keep tunning and when i beat a few GTRs ill be sure to let you know. And i like the DSMtuners sticker because if it wassent for them or you guys i wouldent know anything about dsms, And who knows maybe if enough japanese people see my car and the web site they will check out the site and see how americans tune there cars, maybe ill start a new craze for eclipses here. But i like to be one of few to have these awsome machines, thanks a bunch guys,

i love this thread. Man I wanna see pics of the dash more. I heard you cars come with the pop up controller to control the headlight height. I also want your badges.....man MORE PICS

Holden Manaro is the GTO. Read it in a Motor Trend mag. when pontiac came out with it here in the states :talon:

here's how it works

-ferarri first came out with the gto name
-then chevrolet stole it since their arrogant bastages
-then mitsubishi built the gto in japan and renamed it the 3000gt when it came over here so as not to step on any toes.
-chevrolet dips into the australian company holden's lineup and grabs the monaro for the new gto since it had already been running the ls1 anyways.

you should be pissed we didn't get the HSV monaro GTS instead, its a friggin monster. More info at www.hsv.com.au

Ok so now Im nice and confused..After reading about that car the other day I spent like 2 hours trying to find more of them. Just because it was so different. This is what I came up with, but its a 90 and the imblem says GSR 4..Not GSR evolution.Note this is the ONLY one I could find.
http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/mitsubishi/eclipse/1990_1/photo/8029/

that car looks just like mine >< Mine is 90' and was originally red color and had Eclipse GSR-4 Emblem but some bastard ripped it and couldn't find it. painted silver in awhile

So were there any FWDs or just AWDs? I was curious what the imblem was on a FWD. My AWD is a Talon. I wouldnt mind have the Emblem on my Eclipse, but its FWD.

Sorry to hear about yours..Makes me mad ppl cant keep there hands to themselves.

i m not sure.. but there are FWD models as well.. all 1g DSM i ever saw in Korea is mine LOL

i saw some couple o 2g FWD and AWD model from Japan. its just ma assumption tho.. 1g might have had FWD model 2.

No crap  ,he was talking about the eclipse not being sent over to japan because of the existence of mitsus GTO and FTO. The GTO=3000gt here. Do you REALLY think the eclipse wasn't released over to japan because of an american branded ls1powered car from australia that didnt even exsist yet and never has been in japan.

hence GTO=3000gt in this thread about mitsubishi and japan.

mavisky got it right.......

According to Raph, one of our German members:

"All cars sold in Europe must have an Adjustment via Electric Motor and they must have a switch to be able to adjust the Height of the Light beams from the inside of the car...cars with HID lights must have at least two load leveling sensors so that the lights can be adjusted Automaticaly depending on when the car is Accelerating/braking (ie when the nose goes up or down) and when the car is loaded(back goes down) or when driving over bumps or going uphill or when going downhill --the purpose of all this is to prevent oncoming traffic get blinded by lights that r too high and to help the Driver see better(prevent that lights are too low going up a hill for example)"

Which I'd love to have, but I don't know ten people on this continent I'd trust with them. Dimming their goddamned high beams -nevermind actually ADJUSTING them- is more challenge than most North American drivers seem able to master as it is.

My S4 has auto leveling HID's, exactly for that purpose, and after all it was only in the states for 3 years. (2001 model).

Unless you are moving to England or Japan why would you want to do this? And if you are moving you are best to leave the car here because the export taxes will kill you. There is a reason Skylines cost $50,000 in Japan and $200,000 here, its all tarrifs and taxes.

DSMs were made for the North American, European and Japanese markets. Therefore if someone in a right hand drive country needed a car they could just go to a dealership.

that is something you cant just buy a kit for, obviously. You would have to do a bunch of custom work and spend a lot of money.

On the Skyline note, there is a shop by my house that imports 89's and they said that a conversion from RHD to LHD costs around 15K canadian. It is possible, just costly.

And, the Skylines they get are 20K and less. There is some law in Canada that says they can only import cars fifteen years and older.
