here is the deal, i helped a friend rewire his fuel pump today and after we were done i checked voltage it was 13.8 , so we took it out for a spin. The car sputters and hesitates at like 4500 and then starts to pull. that happens only in 1st and 2nd. so i tryed connecting everything back to how it was without any relays, and the car ran fine. wtf is going on. thanks

Check these :

- Make sure the the 10ga wire at the battery is fused and properly connected.
- Make sure the relay is in good condition if not a new one.
- Make sure all crimped connections are done properly.
- The Relay ground must be connected to "hard" chassis ground!!!! remove any paint from the metal the you connected to chassis ground.

After all of this has been verified to be correct, click below and read the procedure to make sure you wired it the correct way

Safety is important!!! be careful. disconnect the battery before making any connections.

Good Luck
