wondering about rewired fuel pump

what do I need to look for to see if my fuel pump has already been rewired? Or, is there a way to identify an aftermarket pump without getting into the fuel tank itself?

They are usually wired with 10 gauge wire directly to the battery. Also, the method i used has a relay in the back behind the panel that accesses the tail lights.
