Review: SCE ICS Titan Head Gasket

The one i was using started having sealing issues after letting it sit all winter. It probably would have only need a retorque, but i needed to pull the head for other reasons so i replaced it with a felpro composite gasket. I wouldnt be afraid of using another one in the future, but i would retorque it every spring.

Well guess I will make this one available then and just get a Mitsubishi MLS
. Don't wanna deal with the maintenance.

I considered using it but after taking to MAP I decided not to. It's more of a track only gasket that requires constant attention. Stick with a composit or OEM/Felpro MLS gasket.

Care to share what MAP told you? This thread doesn't suggest that.

The copper gasket needs to be re torqued often. This thread was made before we had ever used the felpro MLS gasket. I would recommend the Felpro

I just received my SCE Titan gasket from MAP along with the MAP Head studs. MAP's customer service is AWESOME!!!!

While putting the gasket on (Part Number S91524 - which is the correct part number) I saw something kinda odd that I would bring to everyone's attention.

I already put the head on and torqued them down but was curious if this may cause an issue...

Yellow was a bad choice for highlight color

It appears to be like that in the opposite diagonal corner as well. Personally I would have just trimmed the gasket to have it line up better especially the other hole being an oil port.

I would not have recommended this gasket however since the copper is so soft you will need to constantly check and re torque the head studs to ensure a proper seal. It's more of a race gasket.

I do hope it works well for you and you don't have any issues.

It should be thrown in the trash and replaced with an mls felpro or mitsu oem.

Copper is a pretty soft metal.

Copper is great in a dry block drag car with o rings and receiver grooves.

Use copper O-rings in the block with Mitsu MLS gasket.

I wonder if MAP is still highly recommending this copper gasket? Glad I sold it and went with the power enterprise one I am using
