i have a 98 gst and when i put it in reverse i can feather the clutch to reverse. if i try to fully engage it by lettin out the clutch it pops out every time what wrong can anyone help??????

umm nope still pops out and grinds if i hold it. every gear shifts fine just reverse is meesed

Reverse is unsynchronized. The gear is either worn or the shift linkage is not letting the gear to fully ingage enough to stay in. Try putting the car in reverse using the linkage itself. If you pull up on the shift linkage, on the transmission itself, all the way and then push the lever back it should ingage reverse. Then start the car and try and reverse. If it still pops out its probably something internal (transmission) It also could be a worn engine mount allowing the engine/transmission to move to far from the shift cables and pulling it out of reverse.
