So I'm looking at my evo 16g (previous owner installed), and I notice that there's an unused hole. It's threaded and I have no idea what its for. It's on the top of the turbo pretty close to where it bolts to the Jpipe (black pipe in pic). It's the hole right under the bolt head there right in the middle of the pic. Wtf is it for?

Sorry about the blurry pics but it's a real closeup to be able to see it.

Picture isnt working but I am thinking the hole should have a nipple for a vac lic to the BCS.

I wonder if it was drilled that way to be the boost source? Would make sense of the whole unlimited boost issue I have.

Is it externally gated now? To me that looks like a bolt thread for an internal wastegate actuator mount. But I havent played with a 16g in a loooong time.

It's fine the way it is, it leads to nothing. It must have been a mounting bolt for something on the evo3s. I suppose you could drill into the compressor housing and use it as a boost source if you wanted. It's not a water line.

Yeah, that hole is for the bracket for the coolant line, I just checked on my car, If you don't have the bracket don't worry about it. It's not going to leak or anything.

Sorry thats what I meant what the other people said just didnt word it right....It for the coolant line all right the mounting part of it sorry bout the confusion....
