the guy is getting ready to be shiiped to iraq and he would send it to me for free from new york...im just a unsure if this is acctually gonna happen or if its a hoax?????

what do you guys think

he also said we could do it through autotrader as a 3rd party so we are both protected????

Scam, I got the same story from somebody selling a 3000GT on craigslist, imagine that.

Scam all the way. I bet if you asked him if you can come look at it in person he would give you some lame reason why you can't. Also kind of funny how the car is listed in Iowa but he said he can send it from New York.

Unless you can physically look at the car, drive it and watch the title get signed over to your name I would avoid it. The listing seems pretty legit but if theres a catch once he responds then that should throw a red flag. Tell him you have cash in hand and would like to come look at the car and take it for a test drive and see what he says.

Definitely a scam. Like stated above unless you can go see it and get the title in hand when you hand over the cash do not buy it.

Oh yeah def a scammer. Just for the hell of it though if you do respond to it tell him you have a buddy that lives in NY and you want to send him to see it. I live in central NY near Utica if you want to ask him directions from Route 12. Either he will stop responding or give you directions.

I got my last two cars off Craigslist. Very, very satisfied. Agreed you should see the thing first and/or get a copy of the Title.

same here i paid 1100 for my tsi, just gotta know what to look for and not pay for anything without seeing the car and title first, ive had various people refuse to let me come see the item and want me to transfer money, thats always a scam

well i emailed they email address and the name from the email is Andrew P...which made me think so i think i am done dealing he also changed the price both times i emailed him
