[RESOLVED] Pintle cap replacement

I was changing my injectors yesterday to evo8 injectors and managed to drop one. The pintle cap cracked and it is bad enough that I doubt I can get the injector to seal so my question is can I just take the cap off of one of my 2g injectors and cut off the end where the cap necks down? The look almost the same except that the 2g cap covers the entire head with holes cut out for the two fuel ports whereas the evo caps just come down and end when they get to the bottom.

It appears that the caps for evo injectors are part # 3-123 and the lower injector seals are part # 4-140. I may look into cutting down the pintle caps on my black tops just to have an idea but for the $10 to get it right with new lower seals I felt that it was worth it.
