Hey guys I just bought a 99 GST. I was wondering if you can give me some ideas where to start. I have already put new spark plugs, have an hks turbo timer, and suspension. Any ideas on what to get next would be helpful. Thanks.

there's a bunch we can say here. what we need to know is what are your goals with the car? how much you want to spend on the car? ect......these info can get us into helping you with your dsm...

Well I want it to have great performance and to be pretty quick. I also what it to look nice and clean. It's a black convertible but it has an auto transmission in it so I don't know how well that will hold up.

A t-67 turbo on stock fuel and stock intercooler is my suggestion.

well, if you want power, an auto won't just cut it, but if still want power out of it, i'd say a turbo upgrade would get you power unless you want to max out your t25. many routs for you to take just depend on what you like. i got a B16g turbo swap with manifold and it's alot stronger, running low boost shouldn't be a problem on B16g untill you get the right mod such as your fuel upgrade also. i'm running the 16g with couple fuel mod and it hold strong, but i haven't done much to it just on low boost.
if you plan on getting a turbo upgrade, i'd say the 16g turbo with manifold, fmic w/ hard pipe, bov, fuel mod, exhuast, mbc, and ofcourse running this will required something for tuning such as safc/or dsmlink.and don't forget all the gauges that are need for all this mod.....use the search button to see what rout you want. look at others profile to see what setup seems to fit you and go that rout.

or you can bolt on a 16g with an install kit..

First off, you want to do all the free mods you can.. The filter hack is cool and functional, but ugly... if you want clean, then try looking here for an intake..

Intakes

next, go for an exhaust.. You can get power, a sweet exhaust note, and it will look dope.. choices can be found here or just do a search.. There are quite a few threads about this..

Manual boost controller and boost gauge... There are alot, so just do some research, or start here...

Really, there are alot of things to do with what you have to be nippy, and still not break the bank.. You cannot get too far on the stock turbo, but you can for sure be quick with just a few mods.. Do the basics, and then worry about turbo upgrades, tuning, etc..

and for tuning, dont forget about dsmap.. LOL.. its good from what I hear.. :thumb:

yea my friend has an evo VIII and is willing to give me his turbo so i want to do that and i just ordered a defi boost and oil pressure gauge what other gauges will i need? i also ordered the 1g bov to replace my stock one becuase it's leaking so bad. i looked at the dejon tool intake and thought about an intercooler but which ones run good on an eclipse?

The turbo from your friends Evo VIII will not fit on your car, either he's a bad friend trying to make some money off of you or there was some miscommunication there. Boost gauge is definitely good but I would suggest a wide band air/fuel gauge in the near future too. And most of the intercoolers out there will work pretty well for the mild set-up you seem to be going for.

thanks guys i appreciate the help i will keep searching.
