[RESOLVED] MAFT RPM and CAS question

I have a 1990 cas with the pigtail. It has a yellow, a whitish, a black and a red wire. In the maft instructions, it says to connect the rpm wire to the black wire (number 2 pin) on the cas. I connected it to the black wire but the maft green light blinks indicating it lost the rpm signal. The cas plug doesn't have numbers on it so, I'm not sure if it's the number 2 pin or not. I know the 91-94 cas is different and I read that on those sensors, there's two black wires and the smaller black wire would be the one to connect it to. I only have one black wire on my cas. I have searched and searched but I never found an answer. Which wire on my cas should I connect the white maft rpm wire to? I just want to get it right, instead of doing trial and error. Well if the one you tried didnt work it must be pin 3, I would try the other one and if that dont work it has to be an issue with the cas swap.

Okay. I'll try a different location. A couple months ago, I realized my 94 has a 90 engine harness.


Here's a drawing of the rear of my 1990 cas pigtail plug. I have no idea how the pins are numbered on this plug. I tried the black wire but it didn't work.

I just got around to trying this again. Silly me, I was looking at the wire colors on the cas side, not the harness side. I got it working now. On the cas side, it's the yellow wire. On the harness side, it's the "bigger" black wire as noted in the instructions.
