O2 and Cam AS just replaced, clearing two CELs. Now I cannot get past 3k rpm without stutter. The problem is not load or boost related; this is all rpm-based. Any ideas? No other codes are lit.

What CAS setup are you using? I got the random misfire when using a 1G cas on my car. It was the crank sensor portion of the signal that caused the issue. If you are running a crank sensor then I'd recommend checking it as well, as that is what the misfire detection runs off of.

Basically, since the cam sensor is so much smaller than the crank sensor, it isnt as accurate. Combine that with any small variance due to the timing belt and the engine thinks that the difference in crank speed is a misfire. If the crank sensor has any issue it can cause that as well.

Stock replacement sensors. Should I expect CEL for either?

The odd thing is that this started right after replacing a bad OEM cam AS, so I'd suspect the replacement but it's not lighting the CEL like the original had.
