ok i posted something on the newbie forum but didnt get any results i put a 3" exaust downpipe and cat back but i broke my o2 sensor then 4 days later i got the new sensor in but now it sounds like my bov is leaking as soon as it starts boosting i hear a wistling sound then it starts cutting my engine out after 4k rmp anyone have any ideas?

The valve is a very simple piece with only a rubber diaphragm attached to a metal piston inside. It should work properly unless the diaphragm is torn.

To test the valve, you can do one of two things:
- Remove the recirculation tube and supply 20psi into the vacuum line that is attached to the top chamber. If you don't hear air, the valve is fine....if you hear air leaking, the diaphragm is torn.
- Using a vacuum tester, pull a healthy amount of vacuum on the vacuum line that that is attached to the top chamber. If the vacuum holds, the valve is fine...if vacuum slowly bleeds off, the valve is bad.

are running a catalytic converter still and if not what are you boosting at. when I did my downpipe i eliminated my cat and started getting pretty bad boost creep. I was hitting 14psi without a boost controller but I have a greddy bov, I doubt the stock bov could handle that much pressure.

no cat and i think its a 1g bov or some aftermarket dont have a boost controler yet i was going to get a t3 t4 setup that had all the controls fmic bov everything for like 880 off ebay but it takes money for that and im kinda broke im going to tear apart the whole intake system tomarrow to see if there is a hole in it anywhere. and btw how do i do a boost test? do i have to take it to the shop?

I'm glad you didn't. Nothing about those kits are quality....the turbos are worse than junk, the FMIC's don't fit right (you're on your own to make all the piping), and the blow off valves can't be recirculated. The people who designed those kits for DSM's obviously don't know these cars very well.
