hi i am wondering where do people change the color of the engine top? if someone could give me a link it would be greatly appreciated

Valve cover.You just take the bolts out and pull it off.Paint it with some high temp paint and put it back on.You should probably replace the valve cover seal while your at it since you already have it off.If you want it done with the polished letters.take a block and real fine sand paper and sand it till it gets down to the polished metal.Then spray the whole thing one solid color.And then just re sand the paint off the letters then you will have polished letters.There's tons of ways to do.But most people don't like using elbow grease anymore so they use other tools good luck.

Other people send their valve covers out to be powder-coated, which is a lot more durable than standard paint. The colors and textures are often better as well. Check out Bonehead Performance for examples. You can have just about anything powdercoated.
