[RESOLVED] help me please

I have a 1997 eagle talon tsi and it's going to be the death of me...It has just recently started to hesitate at 4000rpms and then when it gets to 5 grand it goes fine.
Ok so I'm thinking it has something to do with the plugs and wires, so i changed them and the problem got worse. The car won't go over 3500rpms and when i start to boost i blow black smoke. This is a BRAND NEW Evo 3 Big 16G turbo.
Some people say it could be fuel cut out and some people think it could be my wastegate? I don't know please help me..

Have you doen a boost leak test on it. Most of the time fuel cut is caused by a boost leak and a boost leak will cause it to run rich also. That would be something i would check before buying anything else if you havent done so already

nope havent dont a boost leak check...how do i go about doing that? and would that make it smoke everytime i boost..?

did you gap the plugs before you put the new ones in?,and what kind of fuel mang. are you using?sounds like the fuels off at that rpm range?

yeaa gapped the same as the old ones...that were in it...ha probaly not right and i just have the bigger fuel pump.255

Spark plug gap is supposed to be .028.

Black smoke means you are running rich, so if you have a 255lph fuel pump you probably need an afpr.

Do you have bigger injector, AFPR, what's the fuel pressure gauge reading, what do you tune on - SAFC, DSMLink, EMS, chip?

Make a profile. Make it specific as to what you have or don't have. It'd be much faster and cut down the fishing around.

alright well it was a boost leak after all...,the J pipe bolts loosened up..im just starting to learn about cars and whats going on with them soo bear with me here...do you guys think i should get bigger injectors and afpr even if it's a daily driver and im not looking to boost a whole lot?

Well, there's a whole lot of things you need to learn. First off the only purpose for a 255 fuel pump is to upgrade fuel injector and you will need an AFPR too do so. Next, it you're planning upgrading fuel injectors you need to take care of tuning - safc and wideband, dsmlink, or EMS.
