cambridge,
hi.
ive made a few posts before here...

i have a 93 awd laser 5 speed.
2 days ago i noticed a grinding noise very faint...from under the hood...i popped it...nothing to visible c.

it sounds like grinding and faint clicking noises like metal bouncing around inside the motor...i know what my car sounds like...this is a new sound...
it makes it clutch in or not.
def louder on the timing belt side...

ok 267000kms....
i had it for a yr.
i rebuilt the motor...new piston rings, rod bearings, cometic metal hg, arp head studs, rebuilt stock cyl head...hks 264 hks 272 cams, 625cc inj, maft, 3"gm mass, stage 3 chip, fuel pump and rewire, xtd stage 4 clutch, 16g turbo, evo3 o2 housing, 3 inch exh, bov, upper int pipe, 2g tb elbow,
as for the timing belt....i replaced all 2 tb bearings, the belt and the balance shaft belt.
15000kms on it all.

i need help...im scared that somethings messed up.

i had the grinding noise happen to me for me it ended up being my belts eating away at the timing cover not saying its your problem but you might wanna see if that is the case with yours i just got a new cover put on and the grinding was gone:dsm:

today i pulled the alt belt off and the noise was gone...
so i checked the waterpump and its soooo gone it has like 1/4inch up and down play in it....

im veryyyyy happyyyyyy
