Alright, in attempting to get to my audio deck, I removed this piece:

Now, I've changed out the decks, but it won't slide back into place. I cant find any clips that are broken, and everything has been screwed into place. Any tips on how to get it back into place?

Why did you take that piece off to change your deck? All I took off is the center console and it did just fine. Just try moving it around a bit and maybe take off the center console to adjust it. If nothings broken it should fit back in just fine. A possible wire could be preventing it from fitting back in place.

Because my deck was screwed in. So I had to pull off the side piece to unscrew it.
I've tried pushing up, but it just falls back down.

Behind the center console around the ashtray area is a white clip that that piece clips on to.Take the center console out and you'll see it. That or just take the screws out and lift it slightly. Then behind the circular cap is a screw. If nothing else is blocking it, then the panel should stay in properly.

Thanks, turns out i did break a clip, a little superglue will help that out.

Not a prob. I didn't even know the white clip behind the console was supposed to be there. Neither of my past 2Gs had it there until I got the most recent low miles GS. Found a lot of stuff missing on my GSX :toobad:.

Yeah I can't wait to see the horrible wiring the previous owner did when redoing the stereo. Oh well being layed off gives me a lot of time to spend with my car to clean her up inside and out.

Yeah it sucks when you can't spend much money while you're doing little things but you can usually find lots of little things to work on.
