[RESOLVED] Fog Lights on without headlights on a 1st Gen?

I am only seeing tutorials on 2G DSMs to have the fog lights be on without the headlights, but none regarding the 1G's. I want to be able to turn my fogs on at any time regardless of turning the headlights or running lights on.

Rather than running a separate switch for this, I would love to use the stock push button by the gauge pod. Are there any tutorials on what wires or relays to tap on this subject? I know with a little tinkering, I could figure it out.

I haven't looked at the FSM wiring diagram and this at the same time to identify exactly what he's doing. That might be a good idea.

It's a bit dicey to have them on by themselves, as you're going to forget them and find how fast those little bulbs eat the battery down to dead. Still, it won't be hard to do- run a source to the power side of the foglight relay (fuse it if you come from the battery) and then to the switch.
It's tidier if you're content to run them with the parking lights, plus you'll still have the warning buzzer if you leave them on.

I haven't had a chance to check back on this thread in a couple days. The last post resolved my question and I will mark the thread accordingly.

As for the issue you marked, I made some custom brackets and put on some extremely bright aftermarket fogs. You can't miss them being on. Thanks for the info tho.
