You'd be spraying oil on the cylinder walls at the wrong time. Your ring and piston skirt lubrication efficiency would suffer, you may get piston skirt scuffing and increased oil consumption. You would be trying to shoot oil out from the wrong part of the hydrodynamic wedge's pressure curve, and may in fact draw oil in instead of spraying it out.
