i already have searched and read all the topics about this subject and quite frankly there isnt much about it on here but i guess its kind of self explantory. i havent even touched mine yet and i have a built 2.0 liter DOHC motor with the "BIG" 16 g turbo in my 93 eagle talon. i dont have any kind of boost controller right now except for the BCS im guessing. so if i unplugged it complety it would reduce my max boost pressure to what ever the wastegate spring is set at internally correct?

That's correct and as you said "self explanatory" so I don't know why you would have to ask since you knew.

well im asking not only so i can be sure im correct but i also wanted to know what the "BIG" 16g turbo max boost pressure is that it can handle? and what is the factory rating of the wastegate spring on it? mine is at about 16 pounds now according to my boost gauge but this could be inaccurate. installing a slow boy manuel boost contoller next week.

If you are running 16lbs right now on stock injectors you are on borrowed time. That is too much for them on that size of a turbo. If you run a vacuum line from the nipple on the j-pipe to the wastegate that will give you wastegate pressure which should be somewhere in the range of 11-12lbs on that turbo. This will be a much safer level until you can get the proper fuel upgrades.

no i got 550's i wouldnt try to run that on stock injectors no way. how far u think i can push the 550's in terms of boost before it gets to needing a better fuel pump?

You need a logger asap! I would recommend a fuel pump upgrade and rewire as well as some tuning knowledge before you start playing with the boost. The capacity of the 55os will depend on a lot of things such as boost, incoming airflow, a/f ratio. You need a logger to verify your injector duty%

yea thats defintly up there on the to do list im running 16psi right now with no problems and im not going to push it past 18psi until i get my logger of some sort. thanks for all your advice and all the other people who have help me put on this topic. :thumb:
