I searched and searched through each page of the "seafoam works" thread. No Luck, Here Goes. I did the 1/3 into the intake, gas, and oil. Did the correct procedure. Changed the oil after 15 miles, changed plugs after I ran my car to the Gas light. Now I'm getting a horrid misfire. If i baby it it doesnt do it, But if i just give it gas it just bucks and pops. I changed injectors, plugs, wires. Could seafoam have fouled my o2? Would a bad o2 make it misfire?

You very well could have fouled up the o2 or destroyed it. I ran MCCC awhile back and I did mine at night so people wouldn't notice the cloud from my car. When I was done with the can, the inside of my magnaflow muffler was red hot and I could see little flames.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to pull it and check to see if anything gunked it up or even replace it. Perhaps resetting the ECU will adjust the fuel trims back to normal.

Sounds like you didn't burn all of it up. Just keep driving the car around. It'll clean itself up.

Thanks Guys, Yeah I have some friends that also said I need to keep driving it, I get no CEL. I've gone through 2 tanks though.. and it's getting horrible gas mileage

Do you have a data logger ? Check to see if your o2 is fluctuating like it should. I thought seafoam was o2 sensor safe though ?

You may have to change the plugs more than once. If you still had a little smoke after you changed the plugs again they could have been fouled. Change the plugs run it like you stole it and check the plugs again.

I just sold my narrowband which would actually serve a purpose in this haha. I'll change the plugs once more, this did happend when i did fuel injector cleaner when i got the car (sitting for 4 years) and went through 2 sets of plugs in a week. No logger :ohdamn:

Well I pulled the o2 out and it was covered in white stuff. I took a wire brush and some brakleen to it and cleaned it back up, still misses but very little. I will once again buy my third set of plugs this week :thumb: Let you guys know if it fixes it. :boring:

Brake Clean is not good for o2 sensors just so you know.

Run some water through your brake booster hose and see if that clears it up. Be very very careful with this - if you're stupid with it you can hydrolock your engine. It almost sounds like you have a stuck valve from carbon that got knocked loose. I've seen that happen before but it was years and years ago.
