[RESOLVED] 2g wiring question, temperature sender hookup.

The ECU coolant temperature sensor has a black two wire plug connector on it. One wire is black and the other is black with a white stripe. I need to know where these wires are on the plug? With the release button facing up, which wire is on the left and which is on the right? Please take a look under the hood and help me out. My connector broke where the wire is joined with the terminal inside the connector. Just need to know which one goes where, THANKS!

It's doesn't really matter which wire goes to which terminal since the sensor isn't polarized.
Perhaps somebody can chime in so you can connect it like original but it will work either way you plug the wires.

Black w/ white strip - left
Black - right

I believe steve is right since it is a variable resistor

thats what I was thinking but I am trying to do everything as "correctly" as possible. I did check into that sensor a bit more, and it does not in fact matter which way you hook it up... I really do appritiate your post though, I can wire it up like origional!! THANKS
