Hi all,

My temperature keeps fluctuating. It starts and normal temp, then it randomly will start to heat up, and then the temperature gauge needle will go up and down, up and down. Also, it seems to go down when you accelerate, it will even go down if you accelerate in nuetral.

I have replaced the water pump, the radiator, the radiator hoses, the radiator cap, the thermostat, the temp sensor. I have flushed the new radiator to make sure there are no clogs. I'm at a loss. The fans are working properly.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you.

I have a '97 GST Spyder.

Honestly, it sounds like a couple things here. Despite what you say you have done...

1. You could try a 170 degree thermostat.

2. Could be a faulty water pump.

3. Fans are not working properly.

4. An issue with your head gasket.

5. You have a large amount of air in your lines.

Those are my suggestions despite what you have said you have replaced.

Or you may simply need to add more Coolant. I had the same issue and come to find out, I was low. I had pockets running through my system, and everytime the air got pulled through the engine, it heated up.

I'm such a noob, the problems were all caused by a bad battery. Go figure.
