[RESOLVED] 1G Transmission Fill Bolt Size

Hey guys I'm in need of a little information here. I just started changing my fluids on my 90 GSX and I noticed the PO had used a set of vice grips on the transmission fill plug. I know its a 17mm head on the bolt but what is the thread/pitch on the thing? From the looks of it it seems the same as the transfer case fill bolt but thats just eyeballing it. If it's different and someone knows the thread/pitch on the tranfer case fill bolt I would appreciate it. Also where can I pick up a couple new ones and the gaskets for the drain plugs? I can't find them at Autozone or Napa, or they have no idea what I need. Thanks guys

Just buy the OEM bolts, don't mess around with different bolt grades and such from Napa, they won't be too expensive!

That really didn't help man I already know what size sockets I need. I did search but I only came up with the stuff I already knew. I need the thread/pitch on the bolts so I can get another one.

CAPS says one is 18mm and the other 16mm (I didn't look to see which is the fill and which is the drain plug) both are used on a ton of cars so there is a good chance a dealer would have the right part in stock.

Pitch is 1.5, I can't recall the diameter. I want to say it's a 16mm x 1.5 thread.

1.5mm is correct,I pulled mine and checked it with a thread pitch gauge.
