Please post pictures of your setup, i'd like to see if the wheel/tire sticks out of the fenders. Please post suspension mods, offset, etc...

    Thanks in advance!

just because you run a 8" rim doenst mean it will stick out. It is all in the offset. Our car stock come with a 46mm offset. To run a 8" rim and to make it tuck run a 45-38mm offset. I run 17x8 with a 35mm offset and it BARELY tuck, they are flush with the fenders. I only hit the fender on a serious dip on a freeway.

Go check my gallery for pics. Advantage of running a lower offset the more tire you can fit. I have 245/40/17 with no clearance problems inside near the suspension :thumb:

18x8 Enkei RPM2 with 225-40-18 tires. I've got adjustable suspension so I have no idea how much of a drop it is from stock, but its about 3/4 of a finger with between the tire and fenter in the front and about 2 fingers in the back. I have never hit the fenders before, even on some of the biggest bumps. They are bone stock fenders, not rolled. Check my gallery for pics.

edit: all my gallery pics were deleted with the forum change and I didn't have them saved anywhere else, this is all I've got

from searching, i've read many said to go with a +40mm offset, while others had to roll their fenders and others didnt need to. i'd just like to see for myself how they sit with the fenders. my first option was to go with a 17x8 +40mm offset, but the wheel im looking at doesnt offer 17s, only 18+. i guess im the type of person that likes to actually see the product than from it being explained and told about. :)

btw, blackGSX2g and denniegst, your cars look sick. :thumb: you guys dont happen to have any closeup pictures of the wheel/fender? Thanks.

I can't upload any pics because Im on my phone, but I run 18X8 +35 with a 225/40/18 tire and had no fitment problems whatsoever. I am also on a 1.75-2 inch drop. The largest and best executed aggressive setup on a 2G that I have seen was 18X9 +20 with no to very minor fender rolling.

If you want pictures of my setupclick on my username and go to my album.

oh ok cool. i wanted to buy 18x8 with a 35mm offset. with 225/40/18 tires and i just wanted to see how they would look and what i would need to do. I heard i need to get a rear camber kit to get the back aligned right. also i may need to do some fender rolling, but if i dont need to i wont

Rolling 18x8 Toora T250s, ET46 if I remember correct, 225/40R18 tires. No rubbing at all, no suspension mods. I'm at work now so I don't have pics here, but with a correct ET you'll do fine.

Haven't taken the car to wheel alignment, but I've driven like 1500 miles with this setup and the tires have no marks of uneven wear.

No, it shouldn't rub. I have almost 2" free space in vertical dimension so I could easily lower the car, but hence rough roads and winter it's gonna stay like that for now. DSMs sit rather near the road on stock, they don't have a SUV look like Celicas so why bother.
