Hello everyone,

I was told the BOV should be reversed and be connected into the cold air intake.

Is there a way I could avoid purchasing a new cold air intake and BOV or an easy low cost solution that would work? see image below.

Any suggestions or ideas will be greatley appreciated.

You probably misunderstood reversed as "recirculated" and yes , with a stock MAF, you need to route the outlet of the BOV into the intake. You wouldn't need a new intake, just a BOV that can be recirculated.

You'll need to either modify that intake pipe or get another intake that is tapped for BOV recirculation.

Yes the bov needs to be turned around so the hole faces the intake, but you don't need a new bov. Second you will need a new intake, have a piece welded on for a hose to connect, OR get a wider coupler and put a hole in it that a hose will fit into. The third option is a little hackish I guess, but it is the cheapest, easiest, and most reversible thing incase you ever get a blow thru maf or speed density. Good luck.

^ It's just you..The nipple you see in the front goes to the brake booster on 2gs.

On 1g's we just cap this off.

The recirc tube would be facing the bov, It would be a round tube sticking out from the intake pipe.

I'm not seeing it. I've seen similar with the tubes, but it looks like they were added.

I love how they post and leave. This has to be one of the fastest replying forums I've been on.

I must ask because I have been curious about what happens when you run a BOV un-recir. Do you notice any bogging or odd behavior when you let go of the gas after hitting boost? I never fully understood what running like this would do. I've always considered it just to see how loud the thing really is LOL.

Alrighty, lets leave it at that. Glad we could help!

It doesnt bog down at all it makes an odd sound after the wooosh though.

Also Where can i get the BOV hose to connect to the air intake pipe?...

Probably from any vendor, lemme see if I can find one.

The 3 I would call are

ExtremePSI
JNZTuning
STM

I usually call ExtremePSI because I usually don't know what I'm looking for and they are 99% of the time able to understand what I want and its at my door within 2 days LOL.

I would think you would know that answer to that question by now..:nono:
But http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...96-how-vent-your-blow-off-valve-properly.html

Lol, sorry, just something I typed into google once and never got a clear answer, and never saw someone running it vented with the stock MAF

I thought I mentioned the "custom" recirc tube? LOL

Someone find that thread please? Also the whoosh is it venting.IT will still whoosh being recirculated, but will be slightly less audible.

OR you may be getting bov flutter.Which means adjusting the bov is needed as well.

Wrong thread..But same thing,I was talking about the thread with a bunch of us stating we have this "mod".
But +4 Right there..

Will not work on 1g intake tube..The hose will melt..On the 2g pipe, the tube on the pipe is up by the coupler. The 1g, down by the inlet for the compressor, couple inches from that.
